Edge Fitness and Strength will host a community fitness class on Saturday, April 13 to help you transform your body, mind, and spirit. The class will focus on full body weight and cardio movements. And after you break a sweat, reward yourself with a beer. Each ticket includes one 16 oz beer. Not a bad deal.
On Saturday, April 13, snuggle up with some adorable and adoptable puppies, while practicing yoga in the gym of the beautiful Irsay Family YMCA. Enjoy 45 minutes of beginners Vinyasa Flow Yoga with the adorable puppies of Helping Paws Indy a local foster based rescue group. Have you ever held a baby goat or practiced yoga in a historic barn on a dairy farm? You are in luck! You can enjoy 60-minutes of beginners Vinyasa Flow Yoga with the adorable BABY goats of Caprini Creamery while the talented Mike Boo sings his calming melodies with a 90-minute acoustic set. The session includes a selfie with a goat, a Caprini cheese tasting with light apps from Traders Point Creamery and other local vendors.
Susan G. Comen Central Indiana has officially opened registration for the 2019 Race for the Cure! This annual event serves as a substantial fundraiser for the breast cancer movement and is a space that shows the strength of the Indy community.
Whether you bring friends, family, or come alone, your support at the event will not go unrecognized as it’s all about community. The 2019 Earth Day Indiana Festival will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Historic Military Park at White River State Park. Come to the festival for local food vendors, kid’s activities, over 125 exhibitors, live music, and a 5K run/walk
The 5K is in its 4th year and will take place along the White River. Participants will venture west out of Historic Military Park along New York St. before heading upstream on the White River Wapahani Trail. Register here.
