Sweat it out on the Yard of Bricks at the first ever Shred The Speedway

  • Shred415 is making fitness history

May is finally here and that means some of the biggest events are happening in Indy. And now you can add a new “Month of May” event to your calendar.

On Monday, May 20, Shred415 will host its first-ever “Shred the Speedway,” giving the Indy community a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sweat it out on the Yard of Bricks of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (you know, home of the Indy 500).

Shred415 Carmel opened in October 2016 and features 60-minute classes throughout the day. The Shred415 experience is an instructor-led high-intensity interval training class that targets all levels of clients. Created by Chicago fitness experts Bonnie Micheli and Tracy Roemer, the 60-minute workout alternates between treadmill and floor training leaving members empowered and motivated.

“We are excited for the Indianapolis community to join us for this fun workout.” said Dana Matis, Shred415 Carmel Studio Manager, “We wanted to create an epic and unforgettable experience to bring people together for a great cause on the bricks of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”

After you sweat it out, don’t forget to kneel down and kiss the historic bricks. It’s an Indy tradition! All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Indy Family Foundation, a local nonprofit with a mission to aid those in the motorsports community, who find themselves in financial need due to hardship caused by illness, injury or death.
