Where to Buy Local, Organic, and Free-Range Turkeys in Indy for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is almost here! This year you should consider buying a local and organic turkey. Why? Not only will you support a local farmer, but the turkey will be better tasting, more environmentally friendly, and healthier.

Local poultry farmers usually have smaller operations and take better care of raising their animals by giving them plenty of access to outdoor space. Many of them believe in organic practices and don’t use hormones or antibiotics. Most importantly, buying a local turkey allows you to know what you are eating and where it came from. Buying local gives you the ability to talk directly to your local farmers about their farming practices, feeding program, and processing program.

You still have time to buy the perfect organic turkey right here in Indianapolis. Below, find our list of local, organic, free-range turkey, with the sides (if you want) in the Indianapolis area.
