Snapchat recently announced a partnership Headspace, an in-App meditation experience with the best-in-class platform providing guided meditations, animations, articles, and videos aimed to improve the health, happiness, and mindfulness of the world.
The newest feature provides Snapchatters with expert resources related to emotional and physical well being while offering daily meditations and tools to help Snapchatters check-in with their friends and stay healthy.
According to Snapchat’s blog, they are making it easier for Snapchatters in crisis to access resources the app. For example, it will allow Snapchatters to alert the app if they are worried their friends are at risk of self-harm and that friend will be notified of the help available to them. They are significantly improving the experience by immediately showing Snapchatters how they can get connected with emergency services, message a trained counselor through Crisis Text Line, or talk live with someone at the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.
To try the new feature out for yourself, all you need to do is update your Snapchat app then search for Headspace in the Mini Drawer, says the app. The next thing you know, you’ll be deep-breathing your way to bliss.
