Black Restaurant Week Returns to Indianapolis

Founded in 2016 by Warren Luckett, Falayn Ferrell, and Derek Robinson, Black Restaurant Week is dedicated to celebrating the flavors of African-American, African, and Caribbean cuisine nationwide. Through a series of events and promotional campaigns, Black Restaurant Week’s culinary initiatives help introduce culinary businesses and culinary professionals to the community.

Black Restaurant Week is back for the second year in the Midwest starting today through August 2nd. The initiative has been expanded from restaurants to food trucks, caterers, sweets, and more.  The 10-day festival is an expansion of Indianapolis Restaurant Week, which launched last year during the National Urban League annual convention here.
