4 Mindfulness Events in Indy This Weekend

This weekend at Be Well, we are encouraging you to take the time to acknowledge and improve your mental health. Not only are we premiering our new monthly series, Be Well Indy Chats, where we will provide a safe space for you learn more about how you can care for yourself and improve your wellbeing, but we are sharing with you some local yoga and meditation classes and an additional workshop you can participate in if you are a woman looking to reclaim and reset your focus and mindset. It is so important to create space for these helpful, healing practices so that you can enter into each day refreshed and ready to live your best life in a good headspace. With that being said, here is what Indy is up to this weekend!

Be Well Indy Chats with License Marriage & Family Therapist,  Shar’ron Mason

Be Well Indy is excited to announce our new series in which we will be highlighting wellness experts, industry leaders, and local specialists on a monthly basis via our Facebook Page. The premiere chat will take place this Friday from 12 – 1 PM with Shar’ron Mason, a licensed marriage and family therapist, who will be discussing all things mental health! From the prioritization of self-care and stress management to how the current state of our country may be impacting our thoughts and emotions, anything is up for discussion.

Yoga, Meditation, and Dyads in the Park

This Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM, Indy Community Yoga is offering a free friendly, gentle workshop in person or via Zoom if you prefer to participate from home. This practice will be located at the Virginia Fairbanks Art and Nature Park (100 Acres) across from Funky Bones. It will consist of about an hour of gentle yoga and movement, a half-hour of zen meditation, an hour of paired mindful speaking and listening, and an hour of discussion afterward to recap. Please provide your own water bottle and mat, and wear a mask!

Outdoor Yoga at the Indiana War Memorial

Invoke Studio is excited to continue celebrating summer in the city with an outdoor vinyasa flow located right outside of the Indiana War Memorial from 11 AM – 12 PM. Enjoy the afternoon sun while practicing at one of the most beautiful spots in the city. Don’t forget to bring your mat!
