Your “weekend wellness” is starting early this go-around, beginning Thursday with barre and followed by several opportunities to practice yoga and even a dance workout later in the weekend. Events like these after a long week are perfect, but if you are looking to stay inside, no worries.  There are still plenty of local studios offering a variety of classes online. Leap and dive into what Indy has to offer you this weekend and beyond.

Pop Up with Pure Barre

Spencer Farm Winery is hosting a pop-up barre class this Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. For just $15, Pure Barre is offering a practical, total body sweat session that tones muscles and improves strength and flexibility in only 50 minutes! Enjoy the class, and feel free to indulge in some delicious wine before or after class. Don’t forget to bring your mat and sign up now; space is limited!

Friday Flow Yoga

White River State Park & SweatNET Indy are back with Friday Flow Yoga, a free yoga series held in beautiful Locust Grove, located directly adjacent to the Frank Lloyd Visitor Center.  All skill levels are welcome, just don’t forget to bring your mat or towel! Sessions, led by The Hot Room, will be held every Friday morning through August 28th, all sessions are from 6 -6:45 am. Free parking is available in the White River State Park Surface Lot from 5:30-7 am for yoga participants.

Outdoor Yoga at Broad Ripple Park

Please join KOMpose Yoga Studio at B-Ripp Park this Friday from 4:30 to 5:30 PM for an outdoor community yoga class, located on the North end of the park facing the White River. The vinyasa-style class is $10 and is designed for all-level participants. In the event of rain, it will take place on Zoom!

SweatNet Sephora SWERKout

This Friday, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, Johnette Cruz will be leading a high energy dance workout at Clay Terrace in Carmel to celebrate the reopening of the Sephora! SWERK is a fun, new dance craze that involves sweating, working, and twerking your way to a toned body. Get excited, get moving, and grab any of your favorite makeup and skincare goodies after class!

Pints, Pups, and Yoga 

They are taking “downward dog” to the next level! The Metazoa Brewing Company is excited to offer the first class of their Doggie Yoga Series this coming Saturday from 10 to 11 AM. If you are 21 and up and love yoga, beer, and dogs, this class benefitting Helping Paws Indy is for you. All levels of yogis are welcome, just remember to arrive early to check-in and bring your mat! Masks will be required upon entry/exit, but not during the class in which everyone will be safely spaced 6 feet apart. Please register in advance, as this class is expected to fill up quickly!

Join F45 Training North Carmel for a 45 minute HIIT workout led by two accredited personal trainers, who will take you through a total body cardiovascular and strength training mixed workout. The F in “F45” stands for Functional and will perform a variety of exercises that help us be functional in our everyday movements. We will have some rocking tunes while sweating it out on the lawn!
