We can’t believe its already September, but the summer weather is still holding on.  Whatever your plans are for this weekend, we hope you spend some time resetting for the season change and focusing on your health and wellness. And of course, we got you covered.  This weekend, the Indy Fitness Festival kicks off with over 30 fitness classes all over Indy, and there are plenty of other activities like yoga in the park to a virtual 5k. Indy Fitness Festival 

What is the Indy Fitness Festival? It’s Indianapolis’ only Fitness Crawl kicking off September 17-20! It’s a 4-day fitness experience giving festival-goers access to more than 95 classes, 40+ gyms and studios in Downtown Indy, Fishers, Carmel, and Broad Ripple. Participating studios will offer full-length workouts ranging from 30-60 minutes, and there is something for everyone. You will find various fitness activities all weekend. Back on My Feet Virtual Marathon Relay

Run a marathon… relay style! Join forces with friends near and far to form teams of 2-6 to collectively cover 26.2 miles. Team members may choose to run at the same time or coordinate hand-offs (live or virtually). Whether you’re running in the same city or are scattered around the country, your participation will help Back on My Feet members move their lives forward. Outdoor Workouts – Cardio Dance Hip Hop

Need a break from being cooped up inside? We’ve got you covered! Join the Irsay Family YMCA team for some FREE outdoor classes to get you out and move your body! Our instructors will be outside to lead you through a great workout while still maintaining social distancing. So join us for these free workouts in the parking lot of the Irsay Family YMCA. Please bring your towel and water. Find more information here.

Ales & Oms: Yoga Series

Spend most Sunday mornings at Metazoa Brewing Company unwinding with yoga and beer. This yoga flow led by local instructors is appropriate for all levels, including beginners. No need to sign up, just show up with your mat! The yoga class is $10, and it includes your first pint of beer. Face masks are required. Find more information here.

Detox to Retox
Pure Barre is back at Hotel Tango for an effective total body workout focused on low-impact, high-intensity movements that lift and tone muscles to improve strength, agility, and flexibility for everybody. The class will be Pure Barre Classic (45 min) and will include one cocktail. Participants need to bring a mat, water, and comfortable athletic attire. Masks are required. Find more information here.

Sunday Morning Yoga at the Ruins

Join Invoke Studio at 11 AM for Morning Yoga at the historic Ruins at Holliday Park. Through October 4th. Pre-registration is required. Visit www.invokestudio.com/group-classes to sign up using an Invoke Membership, class package, or opt for the $10 drop-in fee. A portion of the proceeds benefits Indy Parks! Free parking is available at the Ruins and the Holliday Park Nature Center. Please reference Holliday Park’s and Invoke’s social media for cancellations due to rain.
