New Plant-based Turkey Hits the Market Just In Time for the Thanksgiving

Plant-based or plant-forward eating patterns focus on foods primarily from plants. This includes not only fruits and vegetables but also nuts, seeds, oils, whole grains, legumes, and beans. It doesn’t mean that you are vegetarian or vegan and never eat meat or dairy. Rather, you are proportionately choosing more of your foods from plant sources.

The recent pandemic has shined a big light on our food system’s issues, especially factory farming, with more people curious about their food source. And now, more Americans are adding more plant-based foods into their diets.

Well, if you’re trying to cut down on your intake of meat during the holidays but still want to enjoy the traditional Thanksgiving feast, you’re in luck. Prime Roots, an all-natural, plant-based meat producer, is helping you enjoy a healthy Thanksgiving by offering a 16-ounce turkey plant-based roast ($30) as long as you place your order by November 23, or you can also choose to order the alt-meat turkey special($40) in the physical shape of a real turkey! If you want to skip cooking altogether, the company also offers meal kits that include gravy with a plant-based turkey log, umami gravy, vegan garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and plant-based bacon roasted brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes! Are you getting hungry?

The plant-based company recently launched in Whole Foods Market, offering protein-packed meals ranging from comforting classics like “Bacon” Mac and Cheese to unique dishes like their Hawaiian Shoyu Chicken.

Visit the Prime Roots website, www.primeroots.com, for the new, seasonal meals, side dishes, and limited-time holiday specials.
