If you’re from Indianapolis, you know about the famous Drumstick Dash, a 4.6 mile and 2.75-mile family-friendly run/walk, helping to raise money to provide meals for homeless individuals in our community. Every year, the race draws thousands of people to Broad Ripple on Thanksgiving morning to run or walk for a good cause, but due to the recent surge of COVID-19, the race has gone virtual.
The race benefits the Wheeler Mission, a local nonprofit whose mission is to help the homeless in Indiana. Wheeler is a non-denominational, Christian social services organization, which provides critically needed goods and services to the homeless, poor, and needy of central Indiana without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, creed, national origin, or religion.
If you’re looking to support a great cause this holiday season, grab your running shoes and sign up to “Move your feet so others can eat.”
You still have time to register by visiting www.drumstickdash.org.
